Welcome to Little House at the Landing!
I’m Cheryl and I’m glad you’re here! My husband and I have just moved in to the real Little House at the Landing and thought we’d invite you along as we make it our own – cuz there’s A LOT left to do!
Being an Army wife taught me to be resourceful. Every place we lived in over the years had challenges – too small, wrong type of room for our furniture, not enough storage – you name it. It became second nature to find creative solutions. In fact, I got so much practice that I eventually just assumed that most projects were within my grasp. Y’all! I LOVE Pottery Barn tables – but I simply could NOT fork over $2000 for one. So I decided to make one instead. And if I can do it, so can anyone! Why not give it a try?
Things I love: the Lord, my family, my cats, coffee, nature, sewing, building, gardening, Disney, all things Scottish, almost all things Star Trek, vintage telephones, and PINK! I love reusing, repurposing and refinishing old stuff – either my own, or awesome found items. And I LOVE making my house a cozy, comfortable home.
